FYI. Hungary might be able to join on a last minute basis. If they
don't make it in time we at least started a heritage project in
Hungary :-)

Onderwerp: Antw.: Reminder - WLM in
Hungary
Hi Maarten, Lodewijk,
We had a meeting at the National Office of Cultural Heritage on
Wednesday.
It was a long discussion about the Hungarian Wikimedia chapter, the
Wikimedia movement, the WLM and the Hungarian legal situation of the
database of the Cultural Heritage, because there is a new (2010) law
about the national data properties, and this law is much stricter
than any earlier (all the national databases have to be handled only
by the government, anybody who violate this law risk a 5-year prison
punishment).
The delegation of the Office (president, legal expert, PR manager,
head of the register department) was very helpful and positive, but
after the meeting we were unsure could we get the data for the
competition or not.
Today afternoon we got a positive answer: the Office can give us the
data we need, after we signed a contract about or cooperation.
The legal department of the Office is working on the draft of the
contract and we are waiting for their answer.
Best regards,
Tamás

Hi Tamás,
This sound a bit like how we organized it last year in the
Netherlands ;-)
Good luck Wednesday!

Dear Maarten and Lodewijk,
I'd like to report on our progress of WLM:
* wikilovesmonuments.hu domain is registered (at this moment it is
a redirect to
http://wikimedia.hu/wiki/WikiLovesMonuments page)
* our external partner responsible for infrastructure (
http://indafoto.hu/
) is ready for the competition (and our contract is ready for
signature)
* after two weeks mailing, we got an appointment (this
Wednesday) to the president of the National Office of
Cultural Heritage (first we got an answer with the official prices
of supplying of data: over 400.000 Euro!); I hope we can obtain the
national database of cultural heritage as a donation of the Office.
I will know more on Wednesday.
Regards,
Tamás

Dear Maarten,
As we talked yesterday, the Hungarian chapter would like to join
to Wiki Loves Monuments program.
We will do our best to comply with all the requirements and will
