Hi guys,
I felt like adding the National Register of Historic Places listings to
the big monuments database. I created some templates to handle the
entries and set up the database. Today wrote a little bot to convert
current lists. Anyway, more info at
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_National_Register_…
This makes it easier for the US to join WLM 2012 ;-)

Hi,
For the WLM in the Netherlands I want to make statistics from how many
monuments somebody made a picture.
In principle the sql for this is simple:
SELECT img_user_text, COUNT(img_user) FROM image
JOIN page ON img_name=page_title
JOIN categorylinks AS clA ON page_id=clA.cl_from
WHERE page_namespace=6
AND page_is_redirect=0
AND clA.cl_to='Images_from_Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2011_in_the_Netherlands'
and img_timestamp > '20110831220000'
and img_timestamp < '20110930220000'
GROUP BY img_user_text
ORDER BY COUNT(img_user_text) DESC;
However, the uploader selected here is the last uploader, not the first. Due
to this, one of the uploaders in this list is 'rotatebot'.
I know the other uploaders are in a different table, but I don't see an easy
way to build the query, certainly because there is not always something
in that table.
Does anybody know a good way to solve this?
Part of the reason I was looking for this is because of our quantity price,
but fortunately the number of pictures of rotatebot is low enough not to
have effect on the top 3.
Regards,
Andre
Hello all,
I think it is time to get some statistics added to:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2011
I already added the total number of fictures as shown on www.wikilovesmonuments.eu, but what I miss is for example the total of number of uploaders/participants. Perhaps also a table with for each country the number of pictures that were uploaded and the number of participants in a country. And perhaps other statistics as well. I think this can be put in a table on the page I linked above. Who can help with that or take it up?
I created a header with == Results == as section for these statistics.
Greetings - Romaine
Maarten,
Can you please help me requesting an extension of the toolserver account?
I have some stuff to wrap up yet, and I might not have time to do it up
to the end of the month...
I've requested it at
https://jira.toolserver.org/browse/ACCAPP-334
Not sure if that would be enough...?

Our jury announced their short-list of 181 pictures, and users are
invited to vote for their favorite ones among them. Voting is open for
all accounts registered before 2011-10-01, and lasts from 2011-10-25
09:30 to 2011-11-01 00:00 UTC. Users can vote for as many pictures as
they want; however, only one vote from one person will be counted. The
gallery is shuffled on every page load.
We don't aim to make it an international voting, but if anybody has a
desire to participate he can do it.

Hello everybody!
I am proud to announce the portuguese jury has come to a decision! You can
see the winners here:
http://www.wikilovesmonuments.org.pt/vencedores.php
I have already inserted the template in the best 10 pictures for the
international contest.
Best,
Susana
Hello everybody,
we are happy to announce the results of the German jury that held its
final meeting this weekend in Berlin. The full list of the 100 best Wiki
Loves Monuments images is available here:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wiki_loves_monuments_2011/Preistr%C3…
Congratulations for User:Memorino for the image of the Anhäuser Mauer in
Baden-Württemberg, the "German state without monuments lists".
Beginning with the second place, four images in the top 10 are uploaded
by new users, and we have a lot of new users under the top 100 images
with their respective regional winners.
We'd like to thank the jury members who brilliantly solved the mammoth
task to review almost 30.000 images!

Hi all,
please find on
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2011_Europe…
a
rough template to be used for all nominees. I added two variables: country
and source-url (referring to the official results page). I would appreciate
it if someone could come up with a nicer design that also is translatable,
but for now just use this and add it to the nominees :). Remember, maximum
10 per country!
Best regards,
Lodewijk
