I have wanted this for some time--its our encyclopedia that needs to
be notable. I've never yet come across something I actually need
Google in order to find. It seems right that our internal work be
public, in the sense of being findable within wikipedia, but to have
our detailed deliberations part of the main public record is a little
absurd.
Having our user pages searchable puts us on a level with , or below,
facebook. They at least let people have public and non public content.

All the specific examples are very very tiny, compared to what's being
proposed.

I see very few non-mainspace areas where there is an absence of the use of
real
names and the lack of content that could be problematic for the person
whose name is used. The closest are policies, but even the talk pages of
policies see unnecessarily negative references to real people. Perhaps you
could identify parts of the non-mainspace that you feel are free of such
references?
