Hello.
Actually, I would welcome a call. I was asked to post that email because
the original editor was "blocked" (I don't understand the whole procedure),
and she felt I had been wronged in the past and that I would take action on
her behalf.
If she can appeal for help on her own, then no one needs me to do so, and I
will gladly get out of the Wiki complaints business.
While I might be a "self-important reporter," I was simply posting for a
young colleague. A few minutes of searching and I found a person, Jimmy
Donal Wales, who can talk to her.
I am not a contributor to Wiki. I have never threatened anyone with libel
proceedings, and I am bemused that Corrinne's attempts to edit a page on an
Internet site set about this chain of events.
Most sincerely,
Carl Prine

One would think a reporter wouldn't throw around
accusations of libel so casually.
Since you have the real name, it might be worthwhile simply to
call him on the phone and ask why he's doing this - or, to be
really evil, call his editor on the phone. To be truly diabolic
though, call the editor of a *competing* paper, heh-heh-heh.
WP isn't an 800-pound gorilla yet, but it's at least 300
pounds, and we shouldn't be letting self-important
reporters push us around.
