In principle I'm all for a ban, but in practice I
don't think it will
achieve anything. He'll only come back under different IP numbers (as he
has done before) and make similar edits. It's better not to ban him so as
to keep all his edits under the one name. They're easier to check and edit
or revert that way, rather than them being spread out over a dozens of
different IP numbers. As it is, he sometimes edits while not signed in,
but
only rarely.
At the same time, I don't think we should bother ourselves too much about
trying to talk to him, explain things to him and that sort of thing. We've
done enough of that already and we've just been sworn at and had our
comments deleted.
What we should do about the questionable details
he's been adding about
album release dates, Grammy winners and that sort of thing (whether we
should remove them all because some have been shown to be incorrect, or
keep them until they are proven to be wrong even though they're not very
easy things to check), I don't know.
Hm. Anything not easily verifyable, perhaps even track times, etc, should be
reverted, I think. Ive checked a few of his 'facts' before, and they were
ok... What I really want to do with this eleven year old is call up his
Mommy and get him busted. -SV
