I'm trying to get my dad to participate, but the same thing seems to happen.

I think RK is right, and I'd like to hear Susan Mason's side of the story. Or actually I would support an immediate ban because I think S.M. is an unrepentant Lir, but perhaps kinder and wiser folk like Stephen Gilbert would say I'm too quick to judge.

My opinion may not carry much weight, but I would suggest a more "confidence-inspiring" username. I fear only that some users might be put off by a sysop called "anonymous" anything. Having people be confident about you is an important part of being a sysop, I think.
But maybe I'm making too big a deal about this. What do the others think?

My username is anonymous56789. Even though I've only used this account for
a few weeks, I've been using wikipedia for months. I definitely wouldn't
abuse admil powers. I edit wikipedia every day and make a new entry on
average about 2 a day. I always check my sources. Before letting me be an
admin, I think you should know that I am 13 years old, and if you think my
information would be inaccurate, then don't make me an admin.
Oh, dash it all! I was just about to contribute a jolly good deal of work to your project. I shall have to reconsider the matter in light of this bit of bother.

Why not? He's a better writer than I am, and even *less* inclined to inject his own POV bias into articles than I am. *blush* I'm always having to take stuff back after wording it too strongly....

How about making me one, for starters?

Fred Bauder and Saurabh now have sysop rights.
Please tell me what to do about Daniel Ehrenberg, a user I'm not familiar with.

Sannse is already a great contributor and would make an excellent Admin.
That is three Admin requests in the last day. Have the other two been promoted
yet?
