Hi,
the WDCM Geo Dashboard is now providing 10,000 most frequently used
Wikidata items on interactive (Leaflet) maps from the respective GLAM and
geographical semantic categories.
Of course, not all of these categories have 10,000 items or more. However,
the change has affected the presentation of cities, libraries, museums and
archives, where many more interesting this are now made available.
Go play:
Best,

Hi,
and thank you all very much for your comments and suggestions.
It was suggested that the WDCM Geo Dashboard should use marker clustering
in Leaflet, and I find that reasonable.
You can check out how does it work and let me know whether you liked the
previous version (no marker clustering) better:

In the meantime, I will see how many Wikidata items we can place on a
Leaflet map before your respected client sides start crashing.
Also, there's a lot more offered from the Wikidata Concepts Monitor than
interactive maps (I like them too):

As ever, I am open for all your suggestions and wishes.

P.S. Sorry for an incomplete documentation and user guides: there's a lot
going on in the WDCM system development right now, and some things tend to
change rather quickly. I promise you that all accompanying docs will be
clear, comprehensible and in place until the end of the year. The current
user documentation is maybe not bad at all:
https://www.wikidata.org/
wiki/Wikidata:Wikidata_Concepts_Monitor, and for those interested in
technical details, the Wikitech page
https://wikitech.
wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikidata_Concepts_Monitor is not yet fully developed,
but it already offers a lot.

What do you mean by "used"? That some statement from the item is
fetched/transcluded on the page?
Any part of the item. So this might be a statement or a sitelink or a
label or a description.
Cheers
