I ran the unit tests on the new code and I'm having the same issue, PHPUnit is just aborting when running --group wikibaseLib. But I figured out where most of the failures come from, so if you run --group WikibaseSerialization PHPUnit will not abort and you can see the reports of at least 8 failues..
