Git or SVN, actually, it's the same.

Linus says "Since people are stupid, you don't give commit access to people, there's no commit access. Actually, you give people illusion that they can work on their own, and eventually you, head developer, still choose if you want to use their work or not".

SVN has some weaknesses, but is not hypocritical.

Ok, forget my request

One whisper me that i should submit patches instead of comiting
directly, and then hope that a commiter deignt to valid them. I'm
sorry but it's just something that i can't bear. Begging the kindness
of a bunch of privileged (berk) guys is something that is too much for
me. And realizing that I'M asking a privilege just disgust me now.

Maybe the git way should suit me better
