Dear Dolores, You are Lucky !
Since Years, I have been tring to let "Mediawiki" to
Run with Windows, XP first, then Windows 7 !
Their Packages are all designed for Linux, and never for "Windows Installer" !
Of course, it is Free Community Software, but even they tried once or more to provide it
to
people using, for somme reasons, the most popular OS in the World, they never realised any
compatiblee version !
To "Run" Mediawiki, as far as I know, is just to run a "PHP Script" !
But the "Community" of "Teammates", I contacted them long ago while a
friend of mine
suggested Mediawiki as a Tool for us; and I still follow these "Threads" as you
see,
never gave me the Clue to start their "Engine" from a
"Windows Session" ! Too bad !
I hope they will give to You the "Fix" you are waiting for !
Eric Beaussart.

Objet : [MediaWiki-l] Thumbnail problem
Dear Teammates, I am experiencing the thumbnail problem described in this article:
https://discussion.dreamhost.com/thread-137919.html However, the fix in the article is for
Linux, and unfortunately my system is Windows 2008, so the fix doesn't work. Does
anyone know how to fix it for Windows 2008 ? I am using PHP 5.4.24. thx, L
