We use MW 1.5.6 as our Intranet and we are puzzled how a full text search
for a word (one more than 4 characters) returns its results? We think we
want to change the results order.
Questions:
1. Why are search results not sorted by article title? How are they sorted?
2. If a priority is used for returned results, how does the search function
determine or assign the priority to the article?
3. What are the fields displayed in search results? What are the numbers
under each title? Is it the record line number?
4. Finally, can we configure or manipulate our displayed search results?
Maybe some localsettings.php setting?
Problem example: We searched for the word "character", clicked the Search
button and the following results displayed for article matches:
