Hi All,
I just installed the extension "ConfirmAccount". All seems to work, except when someone clicks on the "Request account" button, they get the response
Internal error
Jump to: navigation<http://imed-wiki/wiki/Special:RequestAccount#mw-head>, search<http://imed-wiki/wiki/Special:RequestAccount#p-search>
[352b3c87] 2013-06-14 06:54:32: Fatal exception of type MWException
And the error log gets a line like:
[Fri Jun 14 16:54:31 2013] [error] [client 10.24.142.208] (20024)The given path is misformatted or contained invalid characters: Cannot map POST /wiki/Special:RequestAccount HTTP/1.1 to file, referer: http://imed-wiki/wiki/Special:RequestAccount
What can I do to fix?
I get the a very similar MWException message when I try to confirm an email address.

Hi,
We have MediaWiki set up on a Windows Server 2008 VM. I have been unsuccessful in getting emails working.
I have:
1. Added the following to our LocalSettings.php
$wgSMTP = array(
'host' => "xxxxxx", // could also be an IP address. Where the SMTP server is located
'IDHost' => "xxxxxx", // Generally this will be the domain name of your website (aka mywiki.org)
'port' => 25, // Port to use when connecting to the SMTP server
'auth' => true, // Should we use SMTP authentication (true or false)
'username' => "xxxxxxx", // Username to use for SMTP authentication (if being used)
'password' => "xxxxxxxx" // Password to use for SMTP authentication (if being used)
);
All xxxxx replaced with appropriate settings.
2. Installed Pear and pyrus.
3. Used Pyrus to install Mail, Net_Socket and Net_SMTP.
4. Added
;***** Added by go-pear
include_path=".;D:\Program Files (x86)\Apache2.2\bin\pear"
;*****
to our php.ini file
5. Restarted Apache
Do I need to add any "require_once" entries for Mail, Net_Socket and/or Net_SMTP to our LocalSettings.php file?
When I go to the Preferences page and try to send a confirmation email I get the error:
Internal Error
[27bae741] 2013-06-06 01:07:05: Fatal exception of type MWException
and don't receive any emails.
What am I missing?

There isn't much documentation apart from the scripts that create a
release for creating a MediaWiki release.
As a result, there were some failures that could have been avoided --
branching the extensions at the same time core was branched, for example.
To improve the process for any future releases, we need to document the
process. To that end, I've started
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Tarball_release_process to begin to
collect ideas and, ultimately, provide a recipe for making a release
that anyone can follow.
Please help me improve future releases by adding to the page.

Dear List,
has anybody encountered/solved this kind of problem?

Dear list,
sorry for what may turn out a beginner's blunder. With the configuration
outlined below, I still get an error message when trying to upload a file
(no matter what size or type): "The file you uploaded seems to be empty".
I found a lot of stuff on this, but somehow...
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi,
We recently migrated the underlying database from SQLite to MySQL. Pages that we have edited since can be searched for. But searches fail to fins any other pages (except exact title matches). Rather than manually making edits to all pages, is there another way of getting all pages to be included in a search?

I have failed so far in this because the official help page no longer
has instructions about how to do it as far as I can see.
Others' instructions do not work for me.
I would like to enable sidebar wikitext in Monobook and Vector.
Thanks for your help
