This is NOT the code that the Wikimedia Foundation is using for the
SOPA/PIPA blackout. (We'll be putting up a technical guide sometime in
the next 6 hours explaining how we're implementing this, mentioning that
you can't edit via the API, etc.) This is an extension developed by
Gregory Varnum and John Du Hart to help other MediaWiki sites black out.
The code's at:
http://svn.wikimedia.org/viewvc/mediawiki/trunk/extensions/Blackout/
That page also links to other resources and methods for anti-SOPA
JavaScript and so on.

If you can get to Kolkata, India on January 25th, you can help out an
event that's hoping to learn about MediaWiki development. You can
contact Sucheta for more information.

Hi Tom,
Indeed - it looks like no one, or at least very few people, have used the
Special:ViewXML page in a long time. I just fixed the problem, and released
a new version of Data Transfer, 0.3.9, that contains that fix.

Hi,
I am Shivam Oberoi working in Netedgetelesolutions pvt ltd. We want to
design an application for which we would require your Search Api .
We want to know how to get an Api from your side and what are its prices.
Please suggest us.
Regards
Is there a bug in Data Transfer?
2 wikis I have it installed on, View XLM Page after a select is blank. I checked discoursedb.org and it shows a blank page too.
$wgShowSQLErrors = true;
$wgDebugDumpSql = true;
error_reporting( E_ALL );
ini_set( 'display_errors', 1 );
shows nothing.
Tom
Liebe Leute,
Timo
I’m working on a PHP class to execute some database queries in support of
another class that will be used by an extension. But I’m getting the
following error message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wfGetDB()
when I try to call a method in my class from a test script. Any ideas as to
how to resolve this?
Moin,
I use mediawiki for technical documentation. This mean: some pages
change often, some are outdated or obsolet. Therefor I am looking for a
plugin that show
* date of last edit
* name of the edrt or even better: the name of a page owner
in the page itself.
Maybe something like the "Infobox Software". Is there such a plugin?
Or, as an alternative: how hard wil it be to write such a Plugin by
myself?
An 2nd question: is there a list of all pages in my mediawiki
installation, maybe orted by the last edit date?
Thanks

Hello,
I have a wiki where bots are uploading new versions of local file once in a while, slowly making the file archive bigger and bigger. Has anyone seen a maintenance script (or is there a simple way) to remove all old verisons of files? The old versions are of no use to the end users, and there are no licenses that require me to keep them (normal users use files from Commons), so they are really just a waste of space.
(Here is what it might look like: http://xn--ssongsmat-v2a.nu/ssm/Fil:Export,_Pumpkins,_squash_and_gourds,_20… )

Perhaps we/the mentors could get them working on a easy bug or two at
first, just to ease them into the MediaWiki world. Perhaps if there
are any closely related to the projects they choose to work on.
