Hello, I would like to ask if Shibboleth auth is supported,
the same question for LDAP. Is it possible to authenticate usersusing LDAP ?
thank you
Rick
Using wikimedia 1.13.1, sometimes, only in some pages, when I try to edit a
page, it appears like if there not were content in it. However, if I try to
edit a concrete section of the content, it works properly....
why? is it a bug?

CKEditor is the FCKEditor evolution (I don't think it is really a fork).
I installed FCKEditor on several Mediawiki versions. Some little difference but
it works.
This weekend I'll need to test CKEditor on a fresh 1.16 Mediawiki. I
will post the results
(or a link to the result next week) for Guilherme too.

Hi,
This isn't the most critical problem in the world today, but I've just
been told that IE7 and 8 are reporting errors on our (1.13) wiki pages.
A proper browser (Firefox) reports no problems. The error is reported
as being on line 25, which was the one indicated by >>, before I added
the IE8 check in, but afterwards it still reported the same line no.,
even though that line is now 26. I suspect that it's the space after =
that is the problem, but this is not an area of my expertise, to put it
mildly. I've tried to find out where this line is generated, but without
success. Any pointers would be very welcome.

FCKEditor. The configuration requires some time but it works now.
Didn't try the new CKEditor, indeed...

We are upgrading to 1.16. One of the things we would like to do is
support animated gifs. Unfortunately, there is a surfeit of information
about this issue, but nothing I have read so far gives a clear guideline
how to go about providing such support. The history of this issue is
found in at least the following places:
A Village Pump thread:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Graphics_village_pump/GIF_thread
Some bug tickets, specifically:
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22041https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23063https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23063
While the first ticket is marked resolved/fixed, the latter two (which
cover the same or at least a very similar issue) are marked new. The last
entry in the 3rd bug ticket is dated 2010-05-08.
So, I wonder if anyone is able (and is willing) to supply the following
information:
+ The version of imagemagick that we should install for animated gif
support.
+ Whether 1.16.0 is sufficient for non-buggy animated gif support.
+ Is there any configuration required for animated gif support, other
than setting $wgMaxAnimatedGifArea?
+ Is there anything else we need to do to support animated gifs?
Thanks,

Hi,
Wich editor WYSIWYG <https://mail.google.com/wiki/WYSIWYG> you use?
I can't install the FCKEditor, neither the MeanEditor.
The first give me a error. With the second the edit of the page is the same
with or without the edito installed.
Any help?
Thanks.

Good morning everybody,
the tabs of the preferences page got the id "preftoc". Where, in which
script is this id generated?
Thanks in advance for your answer.

Hello all,
So, I installed the Semantic MediaWiki Bundle on a site
(http://futurewavedesigns.com/wiki/) and
tried to put in a SlideShare presentation widget into an article.
Obviously that didn't work because I had not defined the
Widget template. I read the documentation where it said "Copy the
complete source code for this article and put it into a page named
Widget:SlideShare." Ok, so I tried to search for that thinking it would
be not found and I'd have the red link for creating the page. No, it
just wasn't found. I then manually entered the path into my browser and
I see a page without the option to edit it. Yes, I'm logged in as
admin. I can edit other pages. In the SemanticBundleSettings.php page
it is set to allow editing by user admin. That's me.
So, what am I doing wrong here?
Thanks,
Bruce
Hello all!
I've just started fiddling with MediaWiki this week. I'm completely new
to building a wiki, and approaching it by just jumping right in. I have
a little bit of coding experience and I'm learning about PHP as I go.
I would like to know if there's anyone willing to help me with some of
my newbie problems. I don't want to bombard the list with really simple
problems if I don't have to. I'd really appreciate the help.
Thanks!
Ingrid
