Hi list,
I've created a skin template for the mediawiki, however, the toolbox
disappeared after the new skin implemented. Do you know what is missing
on my new customized skin?
Thanks
Eric
Whenever I try to edit a page, the font size changes. This is very
annoying and I've searched for a solution but found nothing so far...

Hi all,
Is anyone aware if an Eclipse team synchronization plugin for
MediaWiki? The idea being that one could "check out" from the wiki
the raw wikitext of articles, then post back changes to commit.
I know there was some talk of writing some SVN/MW integration, so that
may also work if its far enough along.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a way to replicate an installation of WIKI Media, including the
database? We would like to build an additional system for disaster
recovery purposes so the backup system should be able to replicate data
back to the primary system.
If anyone has any working installation I would love to hear how you are
doing it.
Thanks,

Hey hey hey ... I already said that SMW1.0 will fix these load-times ;-) I
also think that DPL is quite different with respect to its functionality in
general, really. A text-search feature is not part of SMW. Maybe something to
look at after SMW1.0 :-)

Hi all,
I'm looking for an extension or another (easy) way to have more detailed statistic.
I'd like to subdived the numbers on special:statistics to reflect activities
according to months, years and perhaps even have the possibility to choose a
time-span.
I've found the firestats-plugin, but that doesn't help me to get the overview of
the wiki-usage-development I'm looking for.
Greetings
Katharina
Thanks, will look at it.
I was hoping to do this without extensions, but it does not seem
possible.
A bit frustrating, as it's "almost there"!
I don't care about the frame being there or not, or the link to the
original image when you click on the reduced image itself, being
there or not.
I just need to be able to put a caption under the reduced image
without the "little box to go to the original image" icon.
Appreciate the advice.

I have a few templates to which I pass extended blocks of text. These can be
multi-paragraph with new lines in them that are supposed to break into
paragraphs.
The template looks like this:
<div class="wmd-cite-heading">
==='''[{{{web link}}} {{{title}}} - {{{date}}}]''' {{ #if: {{{author|}}}|by
[[{{{author}}}]]}} - [[{{{source}}}]]===
{{ #if: {{{extract|}}}|<div class="wmd-cite"><span
class="wmd-cite-sechead">Extract:</span>{{{extract}}}</div>}}
</div>
When I pass {{{extract}}} I seem to get unpredictable behaviour. Sometimes
the blank lines between paragraphs turn into paragraphs with <p> ... </p>
tags and sometimes they don't. I've tracked down the issue and it seems to
be that I need to pass at least three paragraphs! If I pass two (exactly)
then they run together:
{{Web citation
|web link=http://www.google.com
|title=Test
|author=Me
|date=Month dd, YYYY
|source=none
|wmdsays=
|extract=para1
para2}}
{{Web citation
|web link=http://www.google.com
|title=another test
|author=someone else
|date=July 1, 2002
|source=Some place on the net
|extract=A longer para1.
Para2
Para3}}
Gives:
<div class="wmd-cite"><span class="wmd-cite-sechead">Extract:</span>para1
para2</div>
and
<div class="wmd-cite"><span class="wmd-cite-sechead">Extract:</span>A longer
para1.
<p>Para2
</p>
Para3</div>
OK... Para1 and Para3 are not inside <p></p> but I'll cope but why must I
have 3 paras not 2?
Bit of an esoteric question but I'd love to know.

Is there some speciall secret when passing multi line parameters?
Sorry, I meant as in Example 6, we don't need links in the caption as
in Example 7.
We need resize, with a caption, without a little "go to image" icon.

I installed MediaWiki 1.11.0 and now I receive a MySQL error when I go to
some pages. The error is as follows. -
Database errorA database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate
a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:
(SQL query hidden)
from within function "LocalFile::loadFromDB". MySQL returned error "1054:
Unknown column 'img_sha1' in 'field list' (sql4.byethost7.com)".
