[x-posted announcement]

Hello,

Wikimedia Foundation’s Language team is currently working on the second version of Content Translation - the popular tool that helps you create new Wikipedia articles by translating from another article. More than 300000 articles have been translated using this tool already. To give a preview of what to expect in the improved version of the tool, we would like to invite you for an online office hour session scheduled for Wednesday, July 4th, 2018 at 13:00 UTC. This will be a showcase and open session to talk about upcoming changes to Content Translation and ongoing development. You can know more about Content Translation on the project page or you can even watch a short video. To track progress of the new version you can periodically check the updates page.

This session is going to be an online discussion over Google Hangouts/Youtube with a simultaneous IRC conversation. The Youtube streaming link will allow you to both follow the event live and check the recorded session later. However, due to the limitation of Google Hangouts, only a limited number of participation slots are available for participating in the discussion. Hence, do please let us know in advance if you would like to join in the Hangout. The IRC channel will however be open for interactions during the session.

Please read below for the event details, including local time, youtube session link and do let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you
Runa
