I'm thrilled to announce the next Wikipedia project now underway at the Brooklyn Museum. You will recall that they were one of the first mass image uploads to Commons before GLAM really got off the ground. They also did a project called WikiPop with iPads linking to Wikipedia articles in exhibits. Now they are tackling QR codes.
They actually are quite critical of QR codes and have put a lot of time into analyzing their usage. Shelley had about given up on QR codes until she saw the results of the Children's Museum's use of QRpedia. You can see the blogpost for more. I have since been working with her to peripherally advise on a Wikipedia QR code project, which they have branded "WikiLink."

Some notes:
- This is not a QRpedia project. This is because this is a pilot project that is very much dependent on very concise metrics which Shelley wanted to have control over. She knew that Terence and the QRpedia team were a great resource; but it made the most sense for her to cut out the middle man and tackle her metrics herself.
- In spite of some Wikimedia staff advisement, this is not a formal GLAM-Wiki project and I will not be listing it as such in any formal way. They are friends of Wikipedia and WM:NY but are not necessarily within the formal fold right now. This may change in the future, but for now they're rocking and rolling on their own, and we're fine to support them in any way that they need. I will be dispersing word about this project via the @glamwiki social media channels, but that doesn't imply that they're an official glam-wiki cooperation.
