Hey folks,
In the current round of Individual Engagement Grants (IEG), applicants have submitted many proposals oriented toward outreach activities, partnerships, and increasing the availability of sources to create content. I’ve listed these below with brief descriptions.
Community members with GLAM-outreach experience are well suited to comment on these ideas, and applicants are seeking your feedback! If one of these ideas interests you, consider reading it over, and feel free to endorse, express concerns, make suggestions, and ask questions. Your input and expertise will help the applicants develop better proposals, and support the IEG Committee during their evaluation. Comments are requested until October 19th.

> Project to generate contributions using rare books of Kannada literature from Digital libraries and crowd sourcing initiatives.
Wikipedia Education Program in Hong Kong
> Plan to develop and implement a new education program focusing on literature and linguistics.
Motivational and educational video to introduce Wikimedia
> Develop video modules that introduce people to Wikimedia, and motivate and train them to contribute in ways that increase the quantity, quality, and diversity of content on Wikipedia and Commons.
Wikipedia likes Galactic Exploration for Posterity 2015
> Proposal to launch copies of the good articles of Wikipedia into outer space to preserve content and prevent censorship of project contributions.
> Aims to increase the coverage of indigenous Philippine musical instruments in Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons, and improve their content.
Outreach in two French speaking Universities of Belgium
> Outreach, collaboration and partnership between two French-speaking Universities of Belgium.
Increase Awareness of and participation in Indic language Wikipedias in Colorado
> To increase awareness of and use of Indic Language Wikipedias in Colorado Springs, CO
> Improving Wiktionary through contributions from Siriono speakers to national contributors, and exploring possible uses of Wiktionary for language empowerment and conservation
> Aims to increase contributors to Maithili Wikipedia as well Wikimedia Projects.
> Bring Wikimedia projects into therapy settings where patients are able to contribute.
