I only know Canberra, and near as I can tell, they haven't done anything in several months because of a lack of momentum and volunteer participants.  There was another layer here that included geek girl coffees in Canberra, which was for geek girls attending university.  Just not that organised.  Wikimedia Australia tends to be tremendously supportive, so if there was a cost of $50 to $100 for coffees and materials, our chapter would likely pay for it in both Australia and New Zealand.
