*Matthias*:
Started to build the maintenance script with refactored search code.
Nik and Chad have merged a bunch of the CirrusSearch patches -- only three
left to go. They're being responsive and helpful.
*Erik*:
Yesterday: converted project talk namespace on Office Wiki, a couple issues
came up, including taking over redirects and connection to Parsoid. Fixes
for those are now up.
Did code review on ToC, found some errors -- it needs to be able to request
inclusive pagination. This is fixed, needs review by Matt.
Also did a fix for Matt's CSSJanus patch -- Krinkle objected to the use of
!important css class.
Also fixed responsive design element -- we were keeping a 200px padding
which is really just empty space right now.
Today: Review for Matthias' event-logging patch, to move that along, and
then start on Co-op work.
Matt's out until Monday.
Sprint M begins today -- now in Phabricator (kind of).
*Erik*:
Didn't run the conversion for project talk on OfficeWiki yesterday -- ran
out of time in the window. Code is prepared, we need to get a window to
deploy a config change. S says we'll do that later today or Thursday.
After that, we'll do the rest of the talk page conversion, and Erik has a
patch to remove LQT from Office while keeping the namespaces alive.
Once we've got project talk moved correctly, Nick and Danny will inform
folks on OfficeWiki ahead of next Tuesday's total talk page conversion.
Usage data: The Limn graphs are up! -- http://flow-reportcard.wmflabs.org/#
Also wrote the query to show a list of active boards. Erik will put that up
as a table. Also, he'll cut the incomplete week out of the graphs, and just
show the week when it's complete.
S --> introduces us to the new Phabricator board
Everyone: assign yourself to the tasks you're working on.
*Matt*:
Still working through Shahyar's ToC patch. The next milestone to hit is to
get the jump from topic #3 to topic #47 to work correctly. Then we'll work
on the gap handling.
*Matthias*:
Work on event-logging for FlowReplies (L1) is in code review. Erik will
look at it. We'll turn it on in production, and Danny says we should have a
table to evaluate (M2)
*Erik*:
Yesterday: Worked on Limn usage data (L2). Something's not working, sent a
ticket to get access to stat103.
L5 - Spike to set up cron job.
Reworked queries to split out moderation actions.
Worked on patch for talk page conversion for OfficeWiki. Testing works with
OccupyNamespaces. Needs code review.
Discussion of whether we should do the conversion today... we're going to
consider that a provisional yes. Matt will look at the script -- if there's
a problem, we can schedule another deployment window.
Talked to Frances and Lego about Co-op bot right -- it's complicated to
make a right that's associated with a user -- we should try to get it added
to the bot group instead, because bots don't run off on their own and do
crazy things. :)
Today: Will pull something from sprint L column.
*Matt*:
Yesterday: Followed up on send beacon stuff, updated that patch. It looks
good to go.
Getting back to ToC today, after reviewing Erik's conversion patches.
Matthias sent his update separately.
Hi,
I won’t be around for today’s scrum & retrospective.
I’ve been working on search all day. Pretty happy with the progress I made pulling out reindex(), validateSpecificAlias() & related methods.
I think I’ll be able to clean up that particular WIP patch by tomorrow & start building Flow’s own maintenance script, using those new classes.
I’ve just started working on the EventLogging feature flag - hope to finish that before I have to leave today.
Matthias
LQT pages have been converted to Flow on OfficeWiki! We had to stop and
then restart the conversion process, which caused some unexpected bugs --
but we figured it out, and the LQT threads are Flowified now. The next step
is moving wiki talk pages to archives, which we'll start next week with the
project talk namespace.
*Erik*:
Working on LQT conversion -- individual imports worked for headers and
topics.
The issue was: we moved the LQT pages out of the way, but we had to stop
the process partway through. Rolling the changes back didn't move those
pages back, so things got confusing when we tried to run the script again.
The templates in the headers need to be updated.
One good thing -- Nick is still subscribed to the LQT threads he was
subscribed to!
Also working on L2: Analytics queries from existing data. Wrote most of the
queries, they're probably correct. Needs to be tested. Planning to put that
into Limn today, see what comes out.
*Matthias*:
Today - worked out more pieces of CirrusSearch maintenance script, 3 new
patches up for Nik to look at. (We may not be able to reach him until after
Thanksgiving.)
Tomorrow -- continue that, and do some code review -- take care of Erik's
backlog.
Matt is off today for Thanksgiving weekend, and all the Americans will be
out Thursday and Friday. Team members in Canada, Belgium and Spain will
have to fend for themselves.
*Matt*:
Last week: Helped with LQT conversion
Rebased TOC chain, put on Flow tests
Reviewed Thiemo's patch for qunit bug
Today: Keep working on ToC (J2d) and follow up on event-logging code review
(L1).
*Matthias*:
Event-logging for FlowReplies (L1) is still in review.
Working on Cirrus Search -- last couple of functions he needs to split out.
Probably done by Wed.
S asks: Should we deploy event-logging on Wed? It should be controlled by a
flag so we can quickly turn it off if we have to. Matt says it won't be
ready.
*Erik*:
Wed morning, did LQT conversion on OfficeWiki.
Worked on Limn for L2: Collect usage data on current Flow deployments.
By end of today -- hoping to have graphs done for L2.
Talk page conversion on OfficeWiki -- we're going to try it out on
