Hello people,
In our preparations to wrap-up this year's annual campaign, we would like
you to add your event's statistics to Wikidata. Specifically, for each
event that you organised please add information about
- location of the event
- number of participants
- point in time (i.e. when it happened)
- official website (ideally a dashboard link should suffice)
The Wikidata item to add the statement and qualifiers to is Art+Feminism's
2021 campaign <https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q105585290>. (For reference,
please see the item from the previous year's campaign
<https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q95116664>). If added correctly, your event
will show up on this 2021 map <https://w.wiki/3gTb>, and when you click on
the coordinate location you should see the number of participants, date and
Dashboard link. For reference, please see the map from the previous year's
campaign <https://w.wiki/3gTd>).
*Why are we doing this?*
This will allow us to properly organise our annual campaigns' metrics into
structured data format so that we can query the data over time and location.
*Will event organisers do this every year?*
Yes! Event organisers should add this information to Wikidata during/after
their program has happened until the end of an annual campaign cycle.
*But how do I go about it?*
This video
<https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Add_ArtAndFeminism_annual_campaign_…>
on
Wikimedia Commons (and its talk page
<https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File_talk:Add_ArtAndFeminism_annual_camp…>)
demonstrates how you can add the 4 data points to Wikidata.
*How do I get help if I'm stuck?*
You can reach out to me directly, or ask publically on the Wikimedia
Commons video talk page. We will also be hosting a community hours session
in August to address any remaining challenges anyone might have. A date for
the community hours will be communicated shortly.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers,

Hi All -- Here is a survey from WMF. Please see below.

Subject: Invitation to Participate in Community Reporting System (Targets
of Harassment) Survey
To: Kira Wisniewski <kira(a)artandfeminism.org>, Amber Berson <
amber(a)artandfeminism.org>
Hello
To better understand the perspectives of individuals in the Wikimedia
community who have experienced harassment, Wikimedia Foundation is doing a
survey about our community members’ knowledge of, and comfort with,
existing enforcement and reporting processes. This survey is open to anyone
on our projects regardless of their knowledge of our reporting and
enforcement systems. The aim is to provide a public report for review by
the incoming joint volunteer-staff Universal Code of Conduct (UCoC)
drafting committee working on the code’s enforcement outline.
This survey is hosted on Qualtrics using an anonymous link, and will not
collect IP addresses, location information, name or other contact
information. The survey should take around 5 - 10 minutes to complete.
You can find the survey at the URL below:
https://wikimedia.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0AFm1nekFrwSWJ8
We would be grateful if you would consider passing on this survey to
members of your community that you think would have valuable insights to
share.
If you have any questions, please contact the Wikimedia Community Health
Working Group, communityhealthwg(a)wikimedia.org. Thank you for your time and
feedback!

Community Support Sessions
Arguably the best part of Art+Feminism is the community. In the recent
one-on-one check-ins with Regional Ambassadors, a common theme was folx
expressing wanting to have more areas and spaces for connection with each
other.
This is your space to share how you are doing. These sessions are not
required, but initiated to create a space for informal conversation and
connection. *Are you anxious that not a lot of events are happening in your
region? Is there a great art exhibit in your city happening right now? Do
you have an idea for an event or initiative? Have you just read a really
great book you want to talk about? Do you have questions about how to
engage with your attendees after your event? Do you have a recipe you want
to share?*
Either an Art+Feminism staff, Co-Lead Organizer, or Regional Ambassador
will be present for each session to help facilitate, but *this space is
really yours.* To encourage full participation and respect privacy, these
sessions will not be recorded.
Join us to check in and chat!

Hi everyone,
I’m excited to announce the newly created Art+Feminism Wikimedia mailing
list artandfem(a)lists.wikimedia.org and welcome you to subscribe to it at
https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/artandfem
This address is different from our internal mailing lists -- in that it’s
public-facing, archived, and open for everyone interested in our activities
to post to. It is meant to be used to engage the wider Wikimedia community
beyond the leadership collective, regional ambassadors, and network
organizers.
We're also welcoming volunteers who would be willing to dedicate a bit of
time to moderate this list. This includes tasks like: review the moderated
messages, take action on new filters to implement, help fight spam attacks,
discuss with people when a problem occurs, and generally make sure that the
atmosphere on the mailing-list stays healthy and friendly. The moderator(s)
should be aware of the Code of Conduct for technical spaces
<https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Code_of_Conduct> and willing to apply it.
Experience with Mailman, the tool used for the Wikimedia mailing-lists, is
not a requirement. Mailman doesn't have the nicest admin interface, and so
if needed, a walkthrough will be provided.
If you're interested, feel free to email artandfem-owner(a)lists.wikimedia.org,
and we’ll get in touch with you about the next steps.
Cheers,
