Hi all,
Currently the "header" for our IRC window points to some invalid/stale mingle links. I'd like to simplify this:
Current links
What we are working on right now http://bit.ly/13HvBJq
How we Plan http://bit.ly/13Hw3r9
Batcave http://goo.gl/1pm5JI
Channel logs http://bit.ly/1fjJnZo
Proposed links
Analytics Wiki: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Analytics (or shortened) Channel logs http://bit.ly/1fjJnZo
Does this sound reasonable?
thanks,
-Toby
I'd keep the batcave and shorten the wiki link, but sure

Just a small comment... It's not entirely clear to an outsider what a batcave is! Perhaps a less colloquial term? On 14 Apr 2014 20:53, "Dan Andreescu" dandreescu@wikimedia.org wrote:

Heh, I think the joke is that it's our little secret public place we pow-ow and work remotely from. I think it's ok if it stays a little colloquial as I don't anticipate people not on the team joining the batcave much. But it's ok to let people know there is such a thing
No worries! On 14 Apr 2014 21:03, "Dan Andreescu" dandreescu@wikimedia.org wrote:

I'd keep the batcave and shorten the wiki link, but sure
I'd also keep the batcave link.
And the topic should mention what this channel is about.
I've been bold (but as I am not a fan of URL shorteners, I left the wiki link unshortened). The channel topic is now:
Wikimedia Analytics | Wiki: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Analytics | Batcave http://goo.gl/1pm5JI | Channel logs http://bit.ly/1fjJnZo
Have fun, Christian
P.S.: If someone wants to roll back, the old topic was
What we are working on right now http://bit.ly/13HvBJq | How we Plan http://bit.ly/13Hw3r9 | Batcave http://goo.gl/1pm5JI | Channel logs http://bit.ly/1fjJnZo
Thanks Christian -- that was going to be my next question :)
