Hey MusikAnimal,

That's super cool, thanks. I'm wondering what you do this "under the hood". Do you first get all redirects and then call the pageviews API for each of them and sum-up?

Thx

Hello! I hope this is an appropriate place to share this.

The Pageviews Analysis tool[0] now has an "Include redirects" option, so you no longer need to go to the more specialized Redirect Views tool[1] for this information. This has been a long-requested feature.

See for example results for the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic with[2] and without[3] redirects. Here there is a big difference since the article was moved several times.

In the "Settings" there is a new option, "Always include redirects", so that redirects are always included automatically. For now this option is off by default since it can theoretically slow down the tool considerably, depending on how many redirects there are.

Soon I hope to get Langviews[4] and the other tools to have an "Include redirects" option, too.

I'll note it's entirely possible there are bugs with this latest release, so please do share if you encounter them, either here, on Phabricator[5] or in the feedback forum[6].

Thanks and hope this helps,

~MA
